Designed to meet the evolving needs of modern drivers, this new tire family provides advanced wet traction and winter performance suitable for sedans, minivans, CUVs, SUVs, and trucks.

Bridgestone Americas has announced the debut of its all-new UltraWeather premium grand touring tire, engineered to deliver confident performance across all weather conditions. Designed to meet the evolving needs of modern drivers, this new tire family provides advanced wet traction and winter performance suitable for sedans, minivans, CUVs, SUVs, and trucks. Verified by its three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) certification, the UltraWeather officially replaces the Bridgestone WeatherPeak tire line.

“Our all-new UltraWeather grand touring tire helps give drivers a new level of confidence, regardless of the day’s forecast,” said Dale Harrigle, Chief Engineer, Consumer Replacement Tire Development, Bridgestone Americas. “By integrating our ENLITEN technology, we’ve developed a tire that delivers a remarkable balance of year-round reliable performance and sustainability elements, surpassing its predecessor.” Built with a durable construction, the tire brings versatile weather protection tailored for both conventional and electric vehicles.

To handle wet conditions and reduce the risk of hydroplaning, the UltraWeather features open shoulder slots and circumferential grooves that efficiently evacuate water from the tread. In internal company testing, the tire demonstrated 3% superior wet braking over the previous-generation WeatherPeak, stopping four feet shorter. For winter driving, the tire utilizes biting edges designed to minimize tire spin and shorten stopping distances on snowy or icy roads. Internal braking tests on snow revealed a 14% performance advantage over the Goodyear WeatherReady 2, as well as a 10% advantage over both the Pirelli WeatherActive and the legacy Bridgestone WeatherPeak.

Engineering for longevity and eco-efficiency was also central to the tire’s development. Built with advanced compounds and manufacturing materials such as renewable soybean oil, the ENLITEN technology minimizes rolling resistance for improved fuel efficiency while maintaining a quiet and comfortable ride through a precision-tuned tread pattern designed to limit noise and vibrations. For enhanced tread life, the tire incorporates Bridgestone’s PeakLife polymer and closed center rib slots to promote uniform wear. This advanced wear resistance allows the product to be backed by a substantial 60,000-mile limited mileage warranty.

The Bridgestone UltraWeather tire became available in select sizes on June 1, 2026. Ultimately, the product line will be offered in 61 sizes for 16- to 22-inch rim diameters, providing comprehensive market coverage for a wide range of popular target vehicles, including the Honda Civic, Subaru Impreza, Toyota Highlander, and Volkswagen Taos.
