MARTINS announced with profound sadness the passing of its founder and President, Martin Depelteau, who died on April 19 at the age of 54. Martin founded MARTINS in 2002, building the company into a globally recognized manufacturer of tire equipment and supplies. Through vision, determination, and perseverance, he established the MARTINS brand internationally. He successfully grew the business through the acquisition of five complementary companies and brands.

Highly respected throughout the industry, Martin was deeply appreciated by clients, suppliers, competitors, partners, and colleagues alike. As a leader, he strongly believed in helping people evolve, encouraging growth, confidence, and development in those around him. His leadership style was defined by integrity, openness, and a genuine interest in people.

Over the past years, Martin had gradually stepped back from the company’s day-to-day operations, entrusting leadership to a strong and experienced management team. This thoughtful transition ensures continuity and stability. MARTINS reassures its customers, suppliers, and partners that the company’s operations, leadership, and commitments remain unchanged.

Martin was far more than a leader. He was a builder, a mentor, and a true source of inspiration for the entire organization. His legacy will continue to guide our actions and shape our vision for years to come, said Benoit Beauchemin, General Manager.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Martin was widely respected for his integrity, generosity, and the meaningful relationships he built throughout his career. His leadership extended well beyond business results, leaving a lasting impression on colleagues, partners, and the broader community. A remarkable businessman and thoughtful leader, Martin was also a generous mentor and a trusted friend to many. Through genuine conversations, shared moments, and his unwavering support for others, he made a profound and lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our hearts are broken. He left us far too soon. Yet the legacy he built, the company, the people, and the values he instilled will continue to live on through MARTINS. The entire MARTINS team extends its deepest condolences to Martin’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. He will be profoundly missed and respectfully remembered.
