The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is proud to announce the launch of the Tire Industry Scholarship, created in partnership with the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF).

Through this initiative, TIA is contributing $5,000 to support students pursuing higher education or trade programs related to the tire and service industry.

“This scholarship reflects TIA’s ongoing commitment to education, workforce development, and the long-term success of the tire industry,” said Dick Gust, TIA CEO. “By partnering with the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, we’re helping to create a stronger pipeline of skilled professionals who will drive our industry forward.”

In a strong show of partnership, Bridgestone has stepped forward to match TIA’s $5,000 contribution this year and has pledged an additional $5,000 per year for the next five years to help grow and sustain the scholarship program. Yokohama has also joined this effort, pledging $10,000 to further expand the scholarship fund and provide even greater opportunities for students pursuing careers in the tire and service industry.

This effort was championed by TIA Past President Debra Hamlin, whose leadership and passion for workforce development helped bring this partnership to life. Bridgestone is challenging others in the Tire Industry to join in contributing to this scholarship fund.

The Tire Industry Scholarship will be hosted on the University of the Aftermarket Foundation website, with applications open through March 2026.
