Pneus Ratté has given itself quite a gift for its 90th anniversary. Indeed, Stéphane and Charlyne Ratté, co-owners of Pneus Ratté, are expanding their coverage in the Montreal area with the acquisition of Pneus et rechapage Southward, a strategically important player located in the Saint-Laurent borough, a stone’s throw from Montreal-Trudeau Airport in the west end of Montreal Island. This acquisition will allow the Pneus Ratté network to surpass the $100 million revenue mark, just in time to close out its 90th anniversary.

In addition to expanding its service area, Pneus Ratté is adding significant complementary services to its offering, now providing industrial tire services, pressing, urethane filling, and acquiring a retreading plant. The Pneus Ratté network thus becomes the most comprehensive in its industry.

“The acquisition of Pneus et rechapage Southward was a logical continuation of our Montreal entry in 2021. The growth-by-acquisition strategy we adopted several years ago has made us the fastest-growing network of tire and mechanical workshops in Quebec to date,” says Stéphane Ratté, President and co-owner of Pneus Ratté.

With this significant acquisition, the Pneus Ratté network now comprises a total of 13 automotive centres, 6 truck centres, 4 off-road tire centres, and a retreading plant. The roadside service will cover a territory of over 500 km from east to west, 24/7, one of the largest in the province.

A family-owned business and also a member of the Point S network, Pneus et rechapage Southward, which will now operate under the name Pneus Ratté, has been in existence for over 50 years. In addition to automotive tire and mechanical services, it is renowned for its large truck centre and its Bandag retreading plant, a Bridgestone product, a hallmark of quality in the industry. The company enjoys a strategic location at the intersection of Highways 13 and 40, in a very active industrial sector.

“Not only does the company stand out for the quality of its services, but we also share the same family values. It is therefore with great pleasure that customers will find the same team members who have been serving them for all these years,” notes Charlyne Ratté, Vice President and co-owner of Pneus Ratté.
