Bridgestone was named General Motors (GM) Supplier of the Year during the 25th annual Supplier of the Year awards ceremony which recently took place in Orlando, Florida. This marked the second consecutive and 15th overall Supplier of the Year award attributed to Bridgestone.
“I’m proud of the effort and dedication that has earned Bridgestone this honour for the 15th time,” declared Mike Martini, President, Original Equipment, U.S. and Canada, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO). “This award is a testament to the performance, engineering and manufacturing excellence at Bridgestone. It belongs to the dedicated teammates throughout our global organization who deliver value and innovation to our partners such as GM.”
Mike Martini and Fred Cusinamo, Sr. Sales Manager for the GM account, accepted the award on behalf of Bridgestone.
“We are dedicated to the building of positive relationships with our suppliers and delivering customer-focused innovations,” said Steve Kiefer, GM Vice President, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “The companies that we recognized this year brought innovation and delivered it with the quality our customers deserve.”
Winning suppliers were chosen by a global team of executives in various departments including: purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics. They were selected based on performance criteria in product purchasing, indirect purchasing, customer service and after-sales service and logistics.
