For supplier Mahle Aftermarket, the goal is to offer high-quality replacement parts to the automotive aftermarket at a more affordable price.

At the Mahle booth, Jim Kahut, director of business development, explained that the company offers a wide range of engine parts, from gaskets to pistons, at a better price—even though they are sometimes sourced from the same factories that produce the EOM parts.

They also offers a range of engine turbochargers, as some 35% of cars on the road today are equipped with them.

Another category of parts offered by Mahle are filters. Whether it is for lubricants, air or transmission fluids, these products are designed to extend the life of moving parts. “One thing that is often overlooked are cabin filters,” says Kahut. “Consumers don’t know they exist or where they are located. For the shop, it’s an easy sell and a service to the customer, especially since neglecting the replacement can lead to bad odors or premature fan wear.”
