During Autosphere’s visit to AAPEX 2022, we had a chance to catch up with the team at KYB Americas (booth A4622).

A new announcement at the show this year for KYB was a partnership with Japan Offroad Service (JAOS). Through this agreement, JAOS Suspension products will be distributed in North America via KYB, providing U.S. and Canadian service centres and end users with high quality replacement ride control components.

Kicking things off is a new KYB JAOS line of suspension lift kits designed for three iconic off-road vehicles—the JK Jeep Wrangler, Toyota 4Runner and FJ Cruiser. The new suspension kits feature up to a 2-inch lift over the factory ride height on these vehicles as well as 14 different adjustable compression and rebound settings—via a dial at the base of each KYB manufactured shock absorber that comes in these kits. These multi-adjustable settings allow users to compensate for different vehicle loads, tire/wheel sizes and road conditions.

Both front and rear suspension kits are available and contained within each kit are two dampers or struts, two coil springs and other required installation components.

To show case the performance of the new KYB JAOS line of suspension parts, as well as the importance of using motorsport as a test bed for innovative new products, KYB and JAOS will be entering a specially outfitted Lexus LX600 in the 2022 SCORE Baja 1000 which runs from November 15-20.
