The ASE Education Foundation has announced the officers for its 2022 Board of Directors. The officers and board were elected during the foundation’s recent meeting.

The new chair of the ASE Education Foundation is Mike Godson, Toyota T-TEN instructor, Clark College in Vancouver, Washington. Serving as vice-chair is Gary Uyematsu, National Technical Training Manager, BMW and the new treasurer is Trey Michael, Director CTE and Career Pathways, North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Joelle Pollak, Director of Sales and Marketing for NAPA AutoCare, will serve as secretary, while Donna Schaar, AVP Talent at CarMax, Inc. serves as past chair.

Four board members were re-elected for three-year terms: Mitch Becker, Operations Specialist, Protech Automotive Solutions; Jonathan Collegio, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs, NADA; Eric Kenar, Manager, Technician Environment and Service Technical College, General Motors and Chelle Travis, Executive Director, SkillsUSA. One new board member was elected, James Sennett, Manager of Repair Programs, AAA.

During the meeting, three board members were also recognized as they completed their terms of service. Randy Bridgewater, retired Manager, Fixed Operations and Technical Training Operations, American Honda; Suzanne LaBroad, Vice President, Recruiting and Recognition, Hendrick Automotive Group and Chris Wallace, retired Technical Training Integration Manager, General Motors.

“Our volunteer board is the backbone of the ASE Education Foundation, and their expertise and guidance are an integral part of the success of the board,” said Mike Coley, ASE Education Foundation president. “We want to thank our board members for their continued participation, especially Randy, Suzanne and Chris for their years of service and dedication.”
