Lordco opens second Edmonton store and renews 2022 World Junior Championship Sponsorship.
Canadian-owned and -operated Lordco Auto Parts is reinforcing its presence in Alberta, Canada, with a new Edmonton store and a renewed partnership with the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship taking place in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alberta from December 26, 2021, to January 5, 2022.
The aftermarket auto parts retailer and distributor first came onto the Alberta scene in 2020 when it opened an auto parts superstore in Southeast Calgary. This year, Lordco Auto Parts has opened three stores in the province, including Northeast Calgary, Northeast Edmonton, and Southwest Edmonton. The Southwest Edmonton store at 4122 Calgary Trail is the fourth and newest location.
A grand opening event for the Southwest location was held on December 4 to provide the public with an opportunity to meet store representatives, tour the in-store truck centre, and check out the lines of automotive parts and products in stock.
Sponsoring World Junior Hockey
On December 23, Lordco Auto Parts will once again make its presence known in Alberta, as it assumes the role of presenting sponsor of the Lordco Auto Parts Road to World Juniors and Official Partner of the IIHF 2022 World Junior Championship. Red Deer and Edmonton, Alberta, will host the pre-tournament and tournament games.
“We have a lot to celebrate in Alberta this year,” said Sarah Durant, Vice President of Marketing at Lordco Auto Parts. “We are solidifying our presence in Alberta and are supporting an international hockey tournament that brings the world’s most talented junior players, including Canada’s 2021-2022 National Junior Team, to Red Deer and Edmonton, Alberta.”
