While visiting AAPEX 2021 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Autosphere paid a visit to the First Brands booth #A3638.
A major new product released from Carter is its line of brand new, replacement water pumps. In most vehicles, the water pump is one of the most critical yet often overlooked components of the engine.
Designed to work under incredibly stressful conditions, a failing water pump can lead to potentially catastrophic issues including engine failure.
That’s why it’s important to inspect the pump for signs of leaking which often hints at internal damage.
Replacing water pumps on older vehicles can be time-consuming and tricky, requiring specialized tools.
According to First Brands Marketing Manager Angela Golden, this is one reason why Carter has introduced a line of new, replacement water pumps, including a Premium line known as Carter Rapid Fit.
The Rapid Fit is a patent-pending design that includes a pre-adhered gasket already attached to the pump along with the recess holes and pre-installed bolts to promote a quicker and easier installation for the technician.
Because it comes as a complete package, technicians don’t have to worry about having to bond the gasket to the pump or reusing the previous bolts.
As a result, it allows them to complete the job faster and be more productive in the service bay.
First Brands also showcased the line of FRAM TrueAir premium cabin air filters at AAPEX. Launched in the U.S. market in March, these filters incorporate an innovative N95 grade filter media.
This dual-layered filter media offers both anti-viral and anti-bacterial protection. According to FRAM, it is able to filter out 95% of harmful airborne contaminants as well as 99% of dust, pollen and allergens.
