Tuesday, August 31 was a warm sunny day—perfect weather for the CARQUEST WORLDPAC charitable golf day fundraiser.

This event was formed in the fall of 2003 with a mission to support non-profit charitable projects and programs which promote family values, educational development and quality of life in the communities throughout Canada and the U.S.

As the event had to be cancelled due to COVID restrictions last year, many signed up to attend but golf course COVID restrictions cut down the numbers considerably although the roster was full.

In most instances, the golfers attending were very happy to be there as for most it was the first event they have been able to attend since the pandemic hit.

So there were a lot of fun-filled moments on the course as everyone was so glad to see their industry friends for the first time in a long while.

Of course, the usual contests were in effect and the winners were:

Putting Green                   Tyler Brown

Beat the Boss draw          Katie Williams

Closest to the Pin #4        Dave Carter

Closest to the Pin #12      Jeff Desveaux

Closest to the Pin #14      James Larose

Closest to the Pin #17      Aaron Wojtaszczyk

Congratulations to all.

The whole day went well and everyone I spoke with was having a good time…

I believe it was a relief to get out and be amongst friends again as well as doing something great for those in need.

The best part of the day—the news that the CARQUEST WORLDPAC Charity Golf event raised over $14,000 for their charities! Well done!
