Results of a recent global survey of AAPEX attendees show optimism and a high positive sentiment for the return to in-person events with 86% indicating that they are highly to extremely likely to return for a live experience this year.

AAPEX is scheduled to return to the Sands Expo and Caesars Forum Conference Center in Las Vegas, Tuesday, Nov. 2 through Thursday, Nov. 4, when the automotive aftermarket will reunite and reconnect in person after a missed year.

Survey results show that 75% of attendees are either already vaccinated or plan to be vaccinated, boosting comfort and confidence in a return to in-person events. After they receive the vaccine, 88% will be ready to return to in-person events.

In-person events irreplaceable

In addition, 90% indicate in-person events are “irreplaceable” noting the show floor and networking are most important. Attendees are excited to test and compare the latest offerings in person, with 55% indicating they prefer the ability to evaluate products at the event.

Of those surveyed, 89% are the key decision-maker or have a significant influence on getting attendance approved for events. For additional survey results, visit the attendee and exhibitor infographics.

The results reflect similar anecdotal feedback from AAPEX attendees and exhibitors who say they are ready and excited to be back in person at AAPEX 2021. Show organizers are excited by the positive and encouraging results and look forward to welcoming the automotive aftermarket to Las Vegas in November.

To help ensure a safe and productive event, AAPEX Event Management and AAPEX co-owners—the Auto Care Association and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA)—will take all appropriate and advisable precautions and measures as advised by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Guidelines for COVID-19.

All attendees and exhibitors will be informed accordingly of any new or updated procedures, plans and details as they are determined, put in place or evolved moving toward the event in November.
