From AIA comes this sad note: We were saddened to learn of the death of Michel Tremblay on January 5th. The aftermarket industry has suffered a great loss with his passing.
During his long career, Tremblay was an active player in all the important issues facing associations, such as the environment, the workforce, skills training and government relations.
Tremblay was a consultant for AIA Canada in 2002 and served as Executive Director of the Quebec Division from 2012 to 2016. We consider ourselves privileged to have been able to count on his experience and unwavering support for the aftermarket industry.
He was an exceptional collaborator thanks to his unwavering commitment, his great passion, his respect, his constructive and sympathetic approach, and his in-depth knowledge of the various political spheres.
In October of 2014, Tremblay received the Pinnacle Award, the highest honour of the Canadian Society of Association Executives, in recognition of the extraordinary and outstanding leadership he demonstrated during his distinguished career.
Due to current health restrictions, his funeral and a memorial service will be held at a later date. We are reserving a special place in our memories for him.
The board of directors and employees of AIA Canada, as well as all of our members in Quebec, extend our sympathies to his wife, Céline Brisebois, and to his entire family.
And from the entire aftermarket industry we send our sincere regrets on Michel’s passing… he was well liked and a good friend to us all.
