Lumileds by Philips had three new products ready for the 2020 Virtual AAPEX Show… Ultinon Essential LED Fog Lights, CrystalVision platinum Headlight Bulbs and NightGuide platinum Headlight Bulbs.
Ultinon Essential LED Fog Lights
On display as well were the Ultinon Essential LED Fog Lights—a direct replacement for conventional halogen fog light bulbs. They produce a powerful white light, with a brilliant colour temperature of up to 6500 K. Their outstanding contrast and enhanced visibility improves driving safety and gives drivers lighting style that ensures they stand out from the crowd with a modern, high-end look—the look for today’s driver!

Philips Ultinon Essential LED Fog Light bulbs are a direct replacement for conventional H7, H8, H11, H16, 9006, 9145, and PS24W fog light bulbs. Essential LED Fog Lights feature dual heat dissipation technology for long life reliability. A small, motorized fan is integrated into the LED light’s base to bring in air flow from the bottom of the housing, and a metal heat sink is integrated into the light’s base to further dissipate heat. A compact design makes for easy installation in cars, SUVs, vans, and light trucks. In addition they are compatible with 12V and 24V systems. They will be available for sale in the first quarter of 2021.
CrystalVision Platinum Headlight Bulbs
In the upgrade bulb division, Philips CrystalVision platinum headlight bulbs have the whitest, road-legal halogen light headlight replacement bulb ever offered by the company. This bulb also provides up to 60% more vision as per low beam headlamp test results.
These CrystalVision platinum bulbs incorporate a patented ultra-white gradient glass coating formula that creates a bold, stylish look with a colour temperature of up to 4000 K. The brilliant white colour provides better contrast and enhanced visibility when driving at night, which enhances driver comfort and reduces eye fatigue. CrystalVision platinum’s advanced technology also includes a proprietary noble gas filling for higher light output, a precisely placed high-performance filament coil for more accurate beam placement, and a matte silver tip that produces a stunning look in the headlamp’s reflector.
The CrystalVision platinum headlight upgrade bulbs are a direct plug-and-play replacement for standard halogen bulbs and are available in 9003, 9004, 9005, 9005XS 9006, 9006XS, 9007, 9008, 9012, H1, H7, H11, H11B. CrystalVision platinum headlight upgrade bulbs are DOT compliant and will be available for sale in the third quarter of 2021.
NightGuide Platinum Headlight Bulbs
The NightGuide platinum bulbs are the newest and brightest halogen headlight upgrade bulb the company has ever offered! This increased performance was made possible through Philips’ innovative production techniques and tailor-made gas composition, using the well-developed gradient coating and high precision filament design for high light output. The colour temperature of up to 3400 K gives enhanced visibility and better contrast for night driving plus helps driver fatigue. The new bulbs provide up to 130 percent more vision when compared to standard minimum legal requirements in low beam headlamp testing.
These headlight upgrade bulbs are direct plug-and-play replacement for stand bulbs and available in 9003, 9004, 9005, 9005XS 9006, 9006XS, 9007, 9008, 9012, H1, H7, H11, H11B plus they are DOT compliant. They will be ready for the third quarter of 2021.
