Nothing is normal during 2020 it seems. Traditionally, one of the biggest events of the year for the automotive aftermarket industry is the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the SEMA Show has morphed into SEMA360, a virtual, interactive event where automotive industry professionals can access all the excitement of the SEMA Show from their office or home.
SEMA360, runs from November 2-6 and provides a whole roster of interactive events, ranging from webinars and panel discussions, to product showcases from virtual exhibitors as well as the opportunity for virtual attendees to network with their peers.
Massive scale
The sheer size of the physical SEMA Show is often hard to comprehend and even switching to a virtual format this year has not reduced that scope one bit. During the course of the week, attendees will get the opportunity to sample more than 300 vehicle builds, take part in more than 30 different industry specific education sessions, and view more than 2200 new products.
Speaking of products, traditionally one of the most anticipated aspects of the SEMA Show is the Best New Product Awards and this year is no different. Despite shifting to a virtual format, the Best Product Awards, presented by SEMA Ambassador Kevin Oeste on November 2, revealed an assortment of exciting new aftermarket tools and components, all of which are designed to enhance the performance, styling, comfort, convenience and safety of cars and trucks. Each product is selected by a team of judges in 16 different award categories with one winner and two runners up for each of those categories. Each of the winning products will be displayed on the SEMA360 website (sema360.com) providing attendees with more information and product details.
