Will continue to remain involved in the fleet management industry as a consultant.

Chris Hill, Manager Fleet Planning for the City of Guelph, Ontario, has retired from his full-time position, effective March 31. Hill, having served in the role for five years, is an experienced fleet manager with decades of experience in the industry, as well as twice serving as past chair of the NAFA Ontario chapter. He is also a long-time columnist and contributor with Autosphere magazine on fleet-related topics and its predecessor, Fleet Digest.

Although choosing to retire from the City of Guelph, Hill has said he will continue to be involved in the fleet management industry as a consultant. He has accepted a position as Senior Fleet Management Consultant, Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) Transit Specialist and Advisor with Fleet Challenge.

Established in 2005, Fleet Challenge is a leading fleet management consulting company with representatives in both Canada and the U.S. The organization’s objective is to help both private and public sector vehicle fleets achieve their highest performance, by providing viable solutions on the economic, environmental financial and strategic planning front, as well as helping them develop effective organizational efficiency and cost competitiveness.

All of us at Autosphere would like to take this opportunity to wish Chris a happy retirement and much success in his new endeavours.
