On June 16, 2022, the Automotive Aftermarket Retailers of Ontario (AARO) is hosting its inaugural fleet day.
This event, which takes place at the Toronto Airport Marriott, 901 Dixon Road in Toronto, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., will feature sessions specifically tailored to fleet operators and the automotive service providers that work with them.
With electrification currently a hot topic, many fleets are looking for ways to effectively transition to having greater number of EVs in their portfolio. Yet the solution is not always as straightforward as it may seem.
To help find answers, AARO Fleet Day will feature some informative education sessions from a variety of industry experts.
Opening the day will be an exciting presentation on Ford Pro, a global vehicle services and distribution business and brand that is designed to increase uptime and reduce ownership costs, leading to higher productivity and performance. Ford Pro integrates a digitally powered suite of Software, Charging, Service and Financing for work vehicles. Ford Pro, which will implement new services in phases, is aimed squarely at helping commercial customers work better with productive, durable and smart vehicles and connected services.
Cara Clairman, President & CEO of PLUG ‘N DRIVE, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education and awareness regarding electric vehicles, will provide an update on fact versus fiction regarding EV adoption and use, as well as incentive and rebate programs that businesses can take advantage of.
George Balla from Flo, and Daryl Wituk from Northwinds Electrical Supply, will discuss different EV charging options available to fleets, as well as the required hardware and infrastructure needed by businesses to meet customer expectations, as well as top considerations when choosing an EV charging supplier.
In Determining the Path Forward, Xavier Gordon, President of Xergy Energy, will provide an analysis of what fleets need to consider when choosing a partner to embark with them on the journey towards electrification, ensuring they stay focused on both goals and objectives to ensure a successful transition.
Additionally, on the maintenance side, Clayton Allan and Mark Henry from the DPF Company are presenting a technical session on the importance of preventative maintenance as well as the process of ultrasonic diesel particulate filter (DPF) cleaning and the benefits it provides.
