The 2022 Toyota 4Runner is now on sale at Toyota Dealers across Canada.
This year, Toyota adds a new TRD Sport model to the lineup, featuring an x-REAS Sport Suspension and styling cues.
A number of models receive some updates too – with Lime Rush now offered on the TRD Pro model, and additional safety technology fitted to the popular SR5, Trail, and TRD Off-Road models.

Power and performance
4Runner’s proven 4.0L V6 and five-speed automatic transmission deliver a peak of 270 horsepower – and with a Class IV trailer hitch factory-installed, every 4Runner is ready to tow up to 2,268 kg (5,000 lb).
4Runner’s style reflects its authentic capability, with a rugged body design featuring a power moon roof, roof rails, running boards and alloy wheels.
All models are standard equipped with LED low beam headlights and LED fog lamps.
Interior connectivity
Inside, 4Runner has generous seating for five or seven adults, depending on the model.
The heated front seats are large and supportive, while second-row seats recline up to 16 degrees for optimal comfort, and fold at the touch of a button for instant cargo capacity.
Seven-person models feature split-folding third-row seats.
Instrumentation and controls are thoughtfully arranged and common touchpoints such as the heater and door handles are designed for easy use while wearing gloves.
All models include the Toyota Smart Key system with push-button start plus multimedia systems built around 8” display audio touchscreens and featuring steering wheel-mounted audio controls, voice recognition, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Connected Services by Toyota keeps drivers plugged into their lives on the go with one easy-to-use system, featuring Remote Connect, Service Connect and Safety Connect.
A long list of standard safety systems starts with Toyota Safety Sense – a bundle of active safety technologies that help extend the driver’s awareness and ability to avoid collisions or mitigate their effect.
Other standard safety features include the Toyota Star Safety System, a backup camera and eight airbags.

2022 Toyota 4Runner Trail
Features 17” dark grey TRD off-road wheels, a Yakima roof basket, black badging overlays, colour-keyed Toyota cooler, rear sliding cargo tray, and black fabric seat cladding highlighted with tan stitching.
Other features on this model include a 4.2” full-colour multi-information display and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.
The 4Runner Trail is offered a unique Army Green body colour.
2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road
Features Toyota’s Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, Multi-Terrain Select System, Crawl Control, a rear differential lock and unique 17” alloy wheels.
Other features include a hood scoop, eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 4.2” full-colour multi-information display, TRD Off-Road badging, and a premium audio system with remote and embedded navigation.
New for 2022, this model’s safety package is enhanced with the Panoramic View / Multi-Terrain Monitor system.
This model is available in seven exciting body colours – including, new this year, Lunar Rock.
2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Sport
Features Connected Services by Toyota Audio Plus with Remote, 20” black alloy wheels, softex leather seat cladding, a power moon roof, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, heated seats, a hood scoop, TRD shift knob and headrests, front and rear clearance sonar, Toyota’s Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert safety technology, an x-REAS Sport Suspension, and the Panoramic View Monitor safety technology.
This model is available in Super White, Magnetic Grey, Midnight Black, or Lunar Rock finishes.
2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro
Builds on the TRD Off-Road model, enhancing it with front and rear Fox shock absorbers, 17” TRD wheels with Nitto A/T tires, a TRD front skid plate, a basket style roof rack, and TRD Pro badging.
To generate an epic soundtrack for every adventure, this model is fitted with a 15 speaker JBL Audio system with a subwoofer.
The TRD Pro is available in four body colours including – new for this year – Lime Rush.

2022 Toyota 4Runner Limited
Adds many premium features to the SR5 model.
These include a 15 speaker JBL Audio system with subwoofer, premium audio with remote and embedded navigation, 20” alloy wheels, leather seating, and heated and ventilated front seats.
Additional performance features include the x-REAS Sport Suspension and full-time 4WD, while added safety features include front and rear clearance sonar.
