Jeep Revives Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and Overland Trims

Beyond the exterior design updates, the most significant changes take place under the hood, where the SUV now integrates the all-new 2.
Following the recent refresh of its lineup, Jeep has confirmed the return of two of its most iconic configurations for the 2027 model year: the rugged Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and the premium Overland.
Beyond the exterior design updates, the most significant changes take place under the hood, where the SUV now integrates the all-new 2.0-liter Hurricane 4 Turbo inline four-cylinder engine as standard equipment.
This new powertrain, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, produces 324 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, with peak torque available at 3,000 rpm. The engine introduces the first high-volume application of Turbulent Jet Ignition technology, pushing specific output to a segment-leading 162 horsepower per liter.
The Trailhawk version, engineered for extreme terrain, comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of factory hardware: the Quadra-Trac II 4×4 system with a two-speed transfer case, Quadra-Lift air suspension with electronic semi-active damping, a rear electronic limited-slip differential, and six high-strength steel skid plates protecting vital components including the engine, transmission, and fuel tank.
Meanwhile, the Overland trim features premium Nappa leather interiors while maintaining strong technical capability and a 6,200-pound maximum towing capacity. Both models, manufactured at Stellantis’ Detroit Assembly Complex, are scheduled to arrive at Canadian dealerships later this year.
