MVRO Hosts 2025 Northern Golf Tournament

Picturesque Deerhurst Resort near Huntsville, Ont., was the setting for the Motor Vehicle Retailers of Ontario (MVRO) 2025 Northern Golf Tournament on August 14.
With 144 golfers registered, it was sold out event this year and included an Industry Night reception prior to the tournament taking place. Nick Kypreos, former Canadian professional hockey player and winner of the 1994 Stanley Cup with the New York Rangers, delivered an inspiring session on leadership. The following day, everyone took to the greens at nearby Grandview Golf Club, and it proved to be the ideal day, with near perfect weather conditions. During the event, contest winners included Jill Williamson (for Ladies’ Longest Drive) and Warren Sly (for Men’s Longest Drive).
The winning teams were 9A, which finished 1st with a score of 59, and consisted of Bill McLean, Craig Campbell, Dane Bourgard and Michael Budd.
2nd place, with a score of 60, went to Team 14B (Ryan Brown, Gerry Johnson, Richard Pasta and Shawn Vording, while rounding out the top three were Team 2A with a score of 61 and consisting of David McClean, Bryan McIntyre, Jerry Pfeil and Bryan Smith.
Event sponsors were out in force at this year’s tournament with multiple displays set up throughout the course. Attendees also got a chance to look at the schedule for the 2026 MVRO President’s Members/Vendor Conference which will take place in Europe.
MVRO also took the opportunity to provide more details on its exciting partnership with Ontario-based AI agent provider Flitehouse, as well as ticket sales for the ACE Conference & Expo which will take place October 16-17 in Niagara Falls.
Overall, a great event, and one that was highly received by the automotive retailing community.
