Fix Auto Downtown in Montreal has renewed its official certification as a Certified Collision Care, an organization dedicated to the protection of consumers, because the shop meets all the requirements in terms of tools, equipment, training and facilities to repair vehicles according to the standards of participating manufacturers.

This certification allows Fix Auto Downtown to be part of a network of the most competent and efficient bodyshops in the world. Fix auto Downtown is now certified by Certified Collision Care, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, Nissan, Infiniti, Kia, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Genesis and Subaru.

To obtain the certifications of the participating manufacturers, Fix Auto Downtown had to undergo a rigorous procedure to guarantee its ability to adequately and safely repair new generation vehicles. Less than 5% of the shops in the country meet the stringent requirements that lead to this certification. The Certified Collision Care Network is made up of the best body shops in the industry, all of which have met or exceeded the program’s eligibility criteria.

Carlos Salsa, Owner: “Technological developments are making repairs more and more complex. It is therefore essential to choose the right bodyshop. We take great pride in the competence of our technicians and the state-of-the-art equipment we put at their disposal. This is what gives us the assurance of offering the best possible service.”

The criteria for certification are based on the requirements of the vehicle manufacturers. They are essential to ensure the compliance and durability of the repairs, the quality of the finish as well as the integrity of the functionality, value and safety of the repaired vehicle. Vehicles are not what they used to be, and their construction has changed dramatically in the last 20 years, using lightweight, high-strength materials and advanced technologies that include sensors that must be calibrated to ensure proper operation of the various systems. Repairs must therefore be carried out in accordance with the manufacturers’ standards to ensure the safety of passengers and the proper functioning of the vehicle after repair. That’s why automakers want consumers to be able to find a Certified Collision Care center no matter where they live, work or travel.

“Consumers need to be confident that the shop they trust with their vehicle has the expertise to repair it safely. Fix Auto Downtown is now a Certified Collision Care Centre,” said Leanne Jefferies, Certified Collision Care Program Manager. “The company is establishing itself as the standard by which all other body shops are measured.”
