With surging gas prices, rising interest rates, and rising cost of living, appreciation of value for money is on the rise.

Enter one of Canada’s least expensive vehicles to purchase at under $15,000, the Mitsubishi Mirage ES which was recently awarded Vincentric’s Lowest Cost to Own Vehicle 2022 Subcompact Segment and Vincentric Best Fleet Value 2022 Segment for the fourth time.

According to Vincentric, the Mirage’s lowest total cost of ownership top ranking was aided by having the lowest operating costs and the best fuel economy in its class. To determine model level performance, Vincentric conducts a comprehensive evaluation of 18 different scenarios based on a combination of annual driving distances and driving experience. By combining information with other data sources such as residual value, finance rates and maintenance schedules vehicles are measured in the areas of fuel, repairs, maintenance, depreciation and more.

“Low on cost and high on fuel economy, the 174% sales jump of the Mitsubishi Mirage in the last quarter is a clear indication that Canadians increasingly value saving money at purchase and at the pump,” said Kathryn Soubliere, Director, Sales Planning. “Canadian values are changing in this current climate and this honest car is proving that functional can also be stylish and fun to drive.”
