Acura offers a preview of the new fourth-generation MDX interior prior to its global launch as a prototype, scheduled for October 14.
The MDX prototype will feature a complete interior transformation for seven passengers to reflect its status as the flagship vehicle in the lineup.
The new, wider and lower dashboard, designed for an unobstructed view of the road, is enhanced by authentic open-pored wood and hand-wrapped leather with French stitching.
Next-generation Acura sport seats offer a more sculpted shape with curvilinear padding in all three rows, as well as gradient perforations and stitching and piping. The comfort of the wider-bodied first-class seats is enhanced by the multi-mode massage feature in the front seats.
Acura’s exclusive technologies debuting in the new MDX Prototype will include the all-digital Acura Precision Cockpit, an ultra-wide center screen in Full High Definition and a 25-speaker ELS Studio “Signature Edition” premium audio system with integrated LED ambient lighting.
Following in the footsteps of the highly popular Acura RDX and the all-new TLX 2021 sports sedan, the all-new MDX will represent the brand’s most ambitious and far-reaching product redesign since the launch of the second-generation NSX Hybrid Electric Supercar.
