For the fourth consecutive year, Genesis ranked first among all premium automotive brands in J.D. Power’s 2020 U.S. Initial Quality Survey (IQS).

As the top premium brand in the survey, Genesis vehicle owners experienced 17 fewer problems per 100 vehicles than the second-place brand and 24 fewer problems per 100 vehicles than the average according to 2020 new car owners responding to the J.D. Power survey.

“To be recognized even once as the No. 1 premium brand in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey is a great achievement,” said Mark Del Rosso, President and CEO of Genesis Motor North America.

“But to be recognized as the top premium brand for the fourth consecutive year is simply phenomenal.

The G70 2020, with a score of 129 PP100, is the No. 1 premium compact car for the second year in a row, 32 PP100 less than the No. 2 premium compact car and 45 PP100 less than the average in the premium compact segment.

The G80 2020, in its final year of production, ranked second in the premium upper-midsize segment with a score of 164 PP100, 13 PP100 below the segment average of 177 PP100.

The new 2020 G90, launched in 2019, did not generate enough responses to the J.D. Power survey to post a statistically valid score.

J.D. Power’s annual IQS survey is the industry benchmark for new vehicle quality after 90 days of ownership.

The 2020 survey – based on responses from buyers and lessees of a new 2020 model year vehicle in the United States – is designed to provide manufacturers with information that allows them to easily identify problems and improve their products.

Genesis at Home

The Genesis experience in Canada begins online, where customers can complete the entire process from researching the latest models to finalizing their purchase.

The transaction is completed with complete confidence thanks to complete transparency; no price negotiation and a 5-year all-inclusive formula.

Customers will be able to configure their vehicle, select accessories, have their trade-in vehicle appraised and even submit a credit application, all in the comfort of their own home. They will even be able to schedule a home delivery appointment for their new vehicle.

Thanks to its centralized national inventory, Genesis is able to deliver a new vehicle in just a few weeks (except for the new GV80 and G80 2021 vehicles which will begin deliveries in the fall of 2020).

New and current Genesis owners can take comfort in knowing that their vehicle comes standard with a host of free in-home services, including free regular maintenance for 5 years/100,000 km.

A Genesis employee will pick up a customer’s vehicle at their home for shop service and leave them with a courtesy vehicle at no charge.

In addition, with a complimentary 5-year subscription to Genesis Connected Services, owners will be able to view their vehicle’s health status and perform various functions remotely, such as door locks and remote engine start, from a smartphone application.

All Genesis vehicles come standard with the following Genesis Home Services for 5 years/100,000 km:

Genesis offers a full range of sedans, including the G70 compact sport sedan, G80 mid-size executive sedan and G90 full-size flagship sedan.

A mid-size sport utility vehicle, the GV80, will join the lineup in the fall of this year. As the Genesis lineup expands, so does the brand’s retail network.

Genesis plans to expand its retail network with more than 30 distributors across Canada over the next few years.

Genesis Support

The new Genesis Support program offers new and existing Genesis owners peace of mind in these uncertain times.

For a limited time, Genesis Motors Canada is offering customers who choose to finance their new Genesis vehicle with one of our selected banking partners a deferral of payments for up to six months on all models.

In keeping with Genesis’ approach to customer health and safety, the manufacturer is offering a $1,250 accessories credit for a limited time to ensure new owners of 2020 models purchase certainly required accessories, such as winter tires.

For existing finance customers, Genesis and certain banking partners offer payment deferrals of up to three months depending on each customer’s needs.

Clients will need to contact their loan financial institutions directly to discuss their personal situation.
