The system integrates MAHLE's TechPRO Digital ADAS 2.
MAHLE and electronic measurement specialist Rohde & Schwarz officially introduced a collaborative technical platform designed to verify the operational safety of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) sensors following structural or mechanical vehicle repairs.
The system integrates MAHLE’s TechPRO Digital ADAS 2.0 Extra calibration framework with the R&S RadEsT radar tester, bringing original equipment production-line scanning accuracy directly into the service bay.
The specialized hardware target suite is engineered for service centers, multi-shop collision operations (MSOs), and insurance adjusters. Utilizing integrated ultrasonic interior alignment, automatic vehicle identification, and laser-based distance calculation, the platform streamlines the vehicle positioning workflow. Beyond simple static target positioning, the integrated Rohde & Schwarz module expands shop capabilities by introducing frequency and polarization detection, power outputs, and simulated target angle testing to dynamically verify that radar sensors respond accurately within precise manufacturer boundaries.
“With this innovation, ADAS functionality after a repair becomes measurable, traceable, and standardizable,” stated Felix-Matthias Walter, Director of Service Solutions at MAHLE Lifecycle and Mobility. For aftermarket garage owners and heavy-duty technicians, the combined software utility provides reproducible, audit-proof measurement data that serves as a documented liability verification for insurance assessments, structural validation, and regulatory compliance before a vehicle returns to the road.
