On December 19, Budds’ Collision Services once again hosted its annual Pig Roast at 2071 South Service Road West in Oakville, Ontario.
Since 2016, this annual festive gathering has brought together people from across the collision repair industry spectrum for a good cause—raising funds through the Sam Piercey Foundation. Conceived to support young people in the collision industry and help them establish successful careers, the foundation is named in honour of legendary collision shop operator Sam Piercey, who was the driving force of Budds’ Collision Services from its inception in 1983 until 2016, when he sadly passed away.
J.R. Martino, who trained directly under Sam Piercey and took the reins following his passing, has continued to grow the business, expanding upon Piercey’s legacy. Today, Budds’ Collision continues to set the standard as one of the most progressive and cutting-edge collision repair facilities in North America.
Autosphere is always privileged to be invited to the annual Budds’ Pig Roast which has become a major fixture on the collision repair calendar. It was amazing to attend the 2025 gathering, meet old friends, make new ones and be part of an event that celebrates the past, cherishes the present and invests in the future of collision repair and the amazing people within this industry.
