Recognition, celebration and the power of a strong community.
On October 1, Fix Network hosted its Ontario Mix and Mingle event as a prelude to its Regional Meeting. This event provided an opportunity for Fix Network franchisees, corporate team and vendor partners/sponsors to come together for an evening of networking as well as recognition for those operators that have achieved exceptional results.
Strong commitment
Amin Youssef, Regional Vice President, Fix Network, welcomed attendees, noting that the strong commitment of franchisees, insurers, vendor partners and other key stakeholders has been instrumental in the strength, resiliency and success of Fix Network over the years.
“This is truly your conference,” he said to those gathered, “and is an opportunity to network and engage with us on a very interpersonal level.”
Among the awards received that night, as a Milestone award for 10 years’ service, which went to Fix Auto St. Catharines. The Community Impact Award went to David Andre and Fix Auto Cornwall.
Prime Car Care
On the Speedy Auto Service side, Zakari Krieger, Vice President, Prime Car Care, announced two awards, one, that went to Speedy Auto Service Bolton for Community Service, and Speedy Auto Service Kanata, which received this year’s Engaged Partner Award.
For NOVUS Glass, the Brand Ambassador Award went Shelby Armstrong, from NOVUS Glass Sarnia. The Engaged Partner Award was received by NOVUS Glass St. Thomas.
The Distinguished Veteran Award went to Joe Vaccaro, at Fix Auto Mississauga North, while the Above and Beyond Award recipient was Kim Roberts, from Fix Auto Barrie North for her outstanding contributions to the industry and community.
Fundraising and paintings
Additionally, the event also saw some very special paintings, created by children from ages 2 to 12, auctioned off—the proceeds of which went to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Canada. In total, Fix Network Ontario was able to raise a $22,700 in support of RMHC, with two of the individual paintings selling for $5000 each.
Following the conclusion of the Mix and Mingle event on October1, the Fix Network Ontario regional meeting took place on October 2. Key topics of discussion included succession planning, integral service operations (incorporating collision, glass, mechanical and ADAS calibrations within a single eco-system) as well as leveraging AI tools, the importance of strong, operational fundamentals and strong network support.
