On June 19th, Fix Network hosted its annual Ontario Charity Golf Tournament. Taking place at the prestigious Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario, the event proved hugely popular this year and raised nearly $10,000 in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada

Range of activities

The event kicked off with a group photo, before each team took to the course for a scramble start. Although there was light drizzle at the start of the day, the weather cleared up and a fantastic day was had out on this incredible course. There were a range of fun activities on holes during the tournament this year.

These included slapshot closest to the line in memory of Doug Roberts, who owned and operated renowned collision centre Fix Auto Barrie North, beat the Golf Pro, as well as on course food stations and special giveaways.

Inspired session

Following the tournament, attendees gathered for a reception dinner where they had a chance to listen to special guest Marco Lopes. He talked about how his first son was born not being able to breathe and how his experience with RMHC in Hamilton led to working with The Darling Home for Kids. This amazing not-for-profit organization works to provide hospice and residential palliative care services for children with complex medical needs and support for their families. It was a truly heart-moving and inspired session, and a great way to conclude this year’s tournament.

Other highlights included a 50/50 draw in which the winner, Dave Andre, of Fix Auto Cornwall donated his entire winnings back to RMHC Canada! This year’s Fix Network Ontario Charity Golf Tournament was once again a superb event that exceeded expectations, and we look forward to attending again next year, in 2026!
