Sold out event saw 144 golfers take to the course at Glen Abbey in support of RMHC Canada.
June 26, saw Fix Network host its annual Ontario region Charity Golf Tournament. This year’s event took place at the prestigious Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville and was a sold-out event with 144 golfers registered. Like many past Fix Network Ontario tournaments, the weather proved highly cooperative and although there was rain before and after the actual tournament, sunny weather with overcast periods meant everyone got a chance to enjoy this spectacular course and raise money for a worthy cause.
When the final results came in, the winning foursome out on the course consisted of Tory Gilchrist, Darren Hewitt, Kori Paquette and Patrick Schnaffner with a score of 59 (-14). Coming in second place were Khal Abudagga, Justin Bashk, Tim Knight and Jamie Pietraszko. Placing third were Craig Alvaro, Gino Gauthier, Manny Pacheco, and Enrique Villalba.
Each year Fix Network raises funds in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada and at this year’s Ontario tournament, over $6,200 was raised, bringing the total amount of money raised by Fix Network since the start of the year to more than $100,000.
On an additional note, Fix Network also took the opportunity to remember Doug Roberts, a long time Fix Network franchisee from Barrie, who recently passed away. Doug’s daughter, Kim Roberts attended the event and gave an amazing speech, recalling some great memories of her father, as well as his amazing contributions to the industry and Fix Network community.
