CARSTAR Mississauga 401 and MGM Auto Group celebrated an unmatched charity carwash, raising over $10,000 for cystic fibrosis. Held on Saturday, June 22 at their store, the event united community members and sponsors in a day of joyous activities and generous contributions.
A highlight of the event included an electrifying performance by the Toronto Raptors’ North Side Crew, delighting guests with their dynamic routines. Families enjoyed a range of attractions, from a lively bouncy castle to mouthwatering burgers expertly grilled by CARSTAR Brampton’s General Manager, Frisk. Maple Lodge Farms enhanced the culinary delights by providing and cooking BBQ and hot dogs on-site, ensuring all attendees enjoyed savory treats.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Z103.5 radio station broadcasted live from the event, keeping the crowd entertained with music and giveaways. A silent auction featuring gift baskets generated excitement among attendees, contributing significantly to the fundraising efforts.
Sentimental touch
A sentimental touch was brought by Olivia Sottile, daughter of CARSTAR Brampton’s previous owner Frank Sottile, who revived her famous lemonade stand at the carwash. Olivia, recognized in 2021 with Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s Future Leader Award, continues to inspire with her dedication to charitable causes.
“We are thrilled by the overwhelming support from our community and sponsors,” said Mike Cherneta, Owner of CARSTAR Mississauga 401. “This event not only raised vital funds but also showcased the power of coming together for a meaningful cause.”
The event’s success highlights CARSTAR Mississauga 401 and MGM Auto’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the community and supporting local initiatives. Shine Season is here, filled with plenty of fun in the sun!
