CARSTAR Collision and Glass recently hosted an education day for the Insurance Brokers Association of Waterloo Region (IBAWR).

The Insurance Brokers Association of Waterloo Region (IBAWR) was established in 1931 as a not-for-profit professional business association and still exists today to be the local advocate for the independent insurance broker in Waterloo Region.

The training provided is part of their required annual training hours mandated by the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) to maintain their license. Robert Jasper, Senior Insurance Account Manager, hosted the event and provided the quintessential “Keys to Keys” training helping brokers understand the collision repair process.

“ ’Keys to Keys’ focuses on the CARSTAR repair process, filling brokers in on what they need to know about how CARSTAR handles customers and repair orders,” said Jasper. “We continue to see new entrants into the industry and hosting these events is important to educate insurers on what the experience is like for their customers and the modern needs of vehicle repairs.”

Over 130 attendees were in the room, getting key insights on all stages of the repair process. Local CARSTAR Kitchener King St. (Kieswetter) General Manager Tim Schuster was also in attendance, connecting with local insurers.

“These education sessions will give brokers the knowledge to better equip them for what to expect in the industry, while also providing the tools they need to give them an edge in securing prospective business or maintaining their client relationships,” continued Jasper. “These events are a critical component of the industry and we have been hosting and look forward to continue hosting more of these for years to come.”
