AkzoNobel has announced that Flavio Battilana has been named Network Key Account Manager for North America.

Battilana, a collision repair industry veteran, with extensive experience in developing repair networks, previously served as Chief Operating Officer at CSN Collision Centres and, in an interview with Autosphere.ca, says he is looking forward to this new opportunity. “I have a lot of history with [collision repair] networks and I’m very excited to be working with them in this position.”

He notes that AkzoNobel is already making a significant difference in the automotive collision repair space, through its service offerings and the quality of its products and solutions.

“Collision repair is a highly competitive industry,” Battilana explains. “We have good competitors, but where AkzoNobel is carving out its own niche is by focusing on supporting collision repair operators through education, performance, and product. What really attracted me to this position and to this organization is that AkzoNobel really approaches its relationship with collision centres and networks as a business partnership, one where we just happen to sell paint.”
