The Matthew Salsa Memorial Golf Tournament, held on September 11 at Club de golf le Mirage in Terrebonne, saw record participation and raised $180,000 for the Foundation of the same name.
A total of 250 golfers took to the greens, while over 400 guests gathered for dinner.
Collision shop owners, Fix Network representatives, suppliers and friends made the day a success.
“We had great weather and the participants were very generous,” summarizes George Salsa, Matthew’s father. “We saw some new faces, which was very positive. It’s heartwarming to see people in the industry rallying behind this cause. Together, we’re going to help a lot of people.”
The money raised will be donated to three organizations that help young people: Jeunesse au Soleil, Ronald McDonald House and Jeunes golfeurs du Québec.
Salsa emotionally mentions that money will be donated to camps for young golfers, so that they can share Matthew’s passion, and to young hopefuls, so that they can progress in the sport.
Next year will mark the tenth edition of this tournament, which brings together the entire collision industry. It will take place at the same venue, on September 9.
