VitroPlus and UniglassPlus raised over $43,000 for the Breakfast Club of Canada through their spring windshield repair program.
From mid-February through mid-April, VitroPlus and UniglassPlus owners across the country have pledged to donate six nutritious breakfasts, a total value of $3, for every windshield repair or replacement performed at their location. After a successful year last year, the network of owner-franchisees has set a goal of $20,000 to raise for the organization. With tremendous support from the community, the owners exceeded this goal by raising $43,110 across Canada.
“After last year’s success, our owners were committed and determined to give more than ever to the Breakfast Club,” said Maurice Filion, President of Uniban. “We couldn’t be prouder of our owners and we can’t thank the communities they serve enough for their participation and donations to help make a difference for this organization.”
In Canada, it is reported that one in three children may go to school hungry. In addition, events in recent years have led to business closures and financial hardship for many citizens, resulting in more food insecurity.
We are very grateful for the generosity and dedication of the owners of VitroPlus and UniglassPlus,” said Catherine Tremblay, Advisor, Partnerships and Foundations, Breakfast Club. “Their support through incredible initiatives like this helps us work toward the Club’s mission of providing children with access to healthy food. We can’t wait to see the impact they will help us make!”
This fall, VitroPlus and UniglassPlus will run another campaign. From September 1st through October 31, the owners have again committed to donating six breakfasts to children, a total value of $3, for each rustproofing treatment performed in the store. The owners of UniglassPlus and VitroPlus look forward to continuing their fundraising momentum and giving even more to the Breakfast Club of Canada.
