This spring, CARSTAR Canada owners, corporate team members, vendors and valued industry partners, hosted five regional meetings across the country to review performance to date and plan for the second half of the year.
After a two-year hiatus, CARSTAR Canada annual regional meetings finally resumed, held in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia and concluded in Quebec ahead of CCIF. The Quebec regional meeting had a record attendance with franchise partners, vendors, valued insurers and corporate team members.
“Across Canada, dedicated owners who are committed to investing the time and resources each year, join us at these regional events to build and improve their businesses,” said Jeff Labanovich, Chief Operating Officer, CARSTAR Canada. “These meetings provide a forum to review our operational performance, provide an opportunity for owners to share best practices amongst each other and get the chance to hear from top industry leaders to discuss regional challenges.”
Raising funds for cystic fibrosis
In addition to providing owners with resources to help drive their operations forward, these events also provided an opportunity to raise valuable funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a fatal genetic disease with no cure, that mainly affects the digestive system and lungs.
“Our support for cystic fibrosis all began when a CARSTAR franchise partner’s granddaughter received a cystic fibrosis diagnosis and the network banded together to raise money to combat the disease,” continued Labanovich. “Thanks to the generosity at our regional meetings, we were able to raise over $25,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Canada, a huge achievement. Special thanks to everyone who went above and beyond for our charity of choice.”
