Uniban Canada, a technology-based provider of automotive glass repair, replacement and ADAS calibration services, hosted its first technical training session of the year at the Driven Brands Canada technical training centre in Hamilton, Ontario.

Franchise owners, technicians and employees from multiple locations spent the day participating in training sessions hosted by Willy Williams, Uniban’s dedicated technical trainer.

“The technology embedded in automotive glass is getting more sophisticated with each passing year so it’s important to stay ahead of these industry advancements,” said Maurice Filion, President, Uniban Canada. “By hosting educational courses for a variety of topics, we’re able to help our network of owners drive performance advancements back in their facilities.”

Hands-on event

This hands-on event saw attendees practicing a variety of technical skills. Participants were measuring, scoring and cutting flat glass. They also worked on three different types of glass including AS1 windshield quality, AS2 side window and AS3 back window glass.

“Our owners are committed to providing customers with the highest level of repair quality,” continues Filion. “It requires practice to produce these repeatable outcomes and we’re grateful to have the expertise of Willy to educate our network.”
