Uniban Canada, a leading technology-based provider of automotive glass repair, replacement and ADAS calibration services, announced the appointment of Michael Piper as Vice President, Development, Uniban Canada.

Piper brings a wide range of practical leadership experience, having spent many years in the collision repair industry, holding various key positions in both operations and development. Piper has also been a leader in charitable fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis Canada, while also growing the store footprint of CARSTAR across Western Canada.

As Vice President of Development, Piper will oversee the development, strategic engagement and growth of the Uniban family of brands across Canada. In addition, Piper will lead the development teams for Uniban Canada, to ensure the company grows with exceptional operators, increasing service offerings to its insurance and franchise partners.

Decades of insight

“Mike has been a longtime team member to the Driven Brands family, and we are thrilled to have his leadership in our automotive glass businesses,” said Maurice Filion, President, Uniban Canada. “His decades of insight from the collision repair industry and in-depth understanding of successful store operators will make him a vital member of our team and a fantastic resource for our existing franchise partners who are looking to grow.”

Piper entered the automotive industry through a leading Calgary dealership group. After years on the sales side, Piper eventually moved to CARSTAR, where he held varying roles supporting franchise partners in Western Canada with their growth and operational efficiencies. With over 20 years of volunteer experience with the Calgary Stampede and raising valuable funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Piper is deeply committed to giving back to his community.
