CARSTAR announces a $10,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross benefitting the British Columbia Floods & Extreme Weather Appeal.

With a network of local owners operating in British Columbia for nearly 10 years, the CARSTAR family is committed to supporting the communities it serves.

“Being a part of the community since 2013, we know how deeply rooted our franchise family is in their regions and we want to ensure we are offering our support in honour of our B.C. operators,” says Jeff Labanovich, chief operating officer, CARSTAR Canada. “Our goal is to help individuals affected by these severe weather events in British Columbia, but of course we also want to extend our support to the entire community, because we know this has unfortunately affected everyone.”

The Canadian Red Cross is providing assistance to people in affected areas to address immediate and emerging needs. Money raised will allow the Red Cross to carry out relief, recovery, resiliency and risk reduction activities in areas impacted by floods and extreme weather.

“The Canadian Red Cross is providing urgent assistance to those in need following the recent flooding and extreme weather in British Columbia,” says Melanie Soler, vice-president of emergency management at the Canadian Red Cross. “We want to thank CARSTAR for their support as we work to assist those impacted as they begin to recover from these devastating floods.”

Anyone who is looking to join CARSTAR in its contribution to this cause can visit their donation page. All donations to the British Columbia Floods & Extreme Weather Appeal will now be matched dollar-for-dollar by both the Federal Government of Canada and the Provincial Government of British Columbia, meaning every dollar donated will equal three dollars.

“Our collision community has weathered many storms and we know our unity is what continues to help us emerge stronger than ever,” continues Labanovich. “We want to ensure we are doing our part in this tough time. We hope this contribution offers the break some people need to get through this challenging time and inspires others to join in our support.”
