SEMA 2021: An Electrifying Presence at MOPAR

MOPAR’s spacious kiosk at SEMA was a particular head-turner with its amazing solar panel electric charging station.

MOPAR offers genuine replacement parts and accessories for Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep and Fiat. A solar charging station for electric vehicles was located in the center of the kiosk.

A bit of an extension of Jeep’s DNA, this demonstration facility promises charging for upcoming Jeep 4Xe and other electric and hybrid SUVs in the middle of the wilderness, far from the power grid.

Carrying the slogan “Driving on sunshine” the station is being developed by the car manufacturer in collaboration with the Electrify America program.

The panels would be mobile in order to follow the movements of the sun and get the maximum energy from it.

This technology could be part of Jeep’s commitment to developing the greenest SUV offering.

In fact, two Jeep Wranglers 4xe were connected to the demonstration station during our visit.
