At SEMA, BASF presented a new Glasurit product line and a new shop management platform.

The new Glasurit 100 line of automotive paints presented by BASF sets a new standard in the collision repair industry.

That’s what Tina Nelles, director of marketing services at BASF, told us when we visited her booth at SEMA in Las Vegas.

“It’s a whole new approach,” she says.

“It’s the fastest refinish on the market that allows the application to wet surfaces. This no-downtime job accommodates three- and four-coat coatings. This new line is 35% faster at painting surfaces. What’s more, the Glasurit 100 Series offers products that will go an average of 20 percent further than competitive products.”

This new product line was designed to reduce cycle time and increase the efficiency of technicians in the shop.

Also new and available in Canada, the Refinity cloud platform provides access to all of BASF’s body shop solutions on a single application.

By registering at vision360.basf.com, the shop will be able to easily find the paint colour they are looking for as well as access a vast catalogue of training courses.

Furthermore, with the same platform, the user will be able to diagnose their operations to increase their efficiency.

“This easy-to-access solution, which is being launched for the first time in Canada, provides a global approach to the shop’s activities, allows the user to establish links with partners and, above all, to obtain technical support when the shop needs it,” concludes Nelles.
