As a progressive lockdown emerges in many countries around the world, The IBIS Summit team is busy working with their partners to plan the IBIS Global Summit in Monaco.

Strategically placed at the back end of the year on 19 and 20 November, it will hopefully fall in a period of greater freedom when as a collision repair industry community, they will be back together for the first time in many a long month.

The visitors’ security and well-being are being their priority while organizing the Summit.

Therefore, whilst they intend to make time for networking and socializing, they will always adhere strictly to the rules and regulations on sanitization, social distancing, food service, and so on.

The business agenda will focus on where they have come from as an industry, where they thought they were going plus the new reality and action plans directing their short to medium-term future.

They will pull this together by surrounding it around the 20th-anniversary IBIS Global Summit theme of: ‘Tomorrow’s world, today’.

New discoveries

They report that they will discover how futuristic, ‘out there’ advancements playing out in the present were becoming the norm even before COVID-19.

Examples include a move to digitized insurance claims, autonomous vehicles, ADAS technologies, a need for more advanced repair skills and the rise of Artificial Intelligence.

As they then turn the spotlight on their transition out of the pandemic, the Summit’s team declares that they will demonstrate that the fusion of the future and the here and now seems to have risen exponentially.

Phenomena such an expedited move towards fully touchless claims and the automation of the end-to-end repair journey come to mind.
