Hyundai Auto Canada wrapped up its second "Hope on Wheels" campaign, raising $4.8M for 16 hospital foundations nationwide.
Supported by 225 franchise rooftops, Hyundai Canada’s dealer-backed charity campaign exceeded targets by delivering $4.8 million to 16 paediatric hospital foundations nationwide.
Hyundai Auto Canada has concluded the 2026 tour of its “Hyundai Hope on Wheels” national charitable initiative, delivering a record $4.8 million to 16 paediatric hospital foundations across 15 Canadian cities. Powered by per-vehicle sales levies contributed across the manufacturer’s national footprint of 225 franchised dealerships, total donations surpassed original campaign fundraising projections by $700,000.
For Canadian dealer principals, general managers, and regional dealer marketing associations, structured charitable commitments directly elevate local store credibility, brand equity, and community goodwill. The cross-country tour executed community handprint ceremonies at primary paediatric treatment centres, including Toronto SickKids, BC Children’s Hospital, McMaster Children’s Hospital, IWK Foundation in Halifax, and Montreal’s CHU Sainte-Justine.
According to Hyundai Canada leadership, cumulative disbursements across the program’s two operating years now approach $9 million. The 2026 capital supports specialized diagnostic hospital equipment, patient travel logistics under the STEP-1 initiative, and a dedicated $1-million research grant pool managed alongside the national C17 Council. The joint operational effort highlights how franchised retail networks leverage transactional new-vehicle volume to fund vital regional healthcare infrastructure across provincial markets.
