Dieppe Auto Repairs has earned a solid reputation by focusing on the fundamentals of good service.
In this issue, Autosphere highlights another automotive service provider, this time. Dieppe Auto Repairs, located in Dieppe, New Brunswick. Owner/operator Mostafa Shafa didn’t come into the business through the traditional route, so we were curious to ask him how the business got started.
“My involvement began with O.R.E. Auto in 2022,” says Shafa. “That experience inspired me to create something in Dieppe that reflected my vision: a modern automotive repair shop with a real passion for serving customers. I wanted people to feel welcome, listened to and confident about the care their vehicles received.”
Dieppe Auto Repairs was established in May 2023 under Infinite Enterprises Inc., bringing that vision to life, explains Shafa. In January 2026, he says that the business was incorporated separately as Dieppe Auto Repairs Inc. “From the beginning, my goal was to combine an up-to-date approach to automotive service with personal attention to each customer,” he states.

Advancing technical capabilities
“Since opening, Shafa says a key focus has been “on improving both our technical capabilities and the customer experience. We invested in advanced diagnostic scanning tools and a John Bean wheel alignment machine to give our team better equipment for diagnosing and servicing vehicles.”
He also explains that they leased a newly built facility at 724 Champlain Street in Dieppe, “providing the modern environment I had envisioned for the business. These investments reflect our commitment to giving our team the right tools and surroundings to serve customers well,” Mostafa explains.
In terms of milestones, Shafa says that opening Dieppe Auto Repairs in May 2023 and turning his vision for a modern, customer-focused shop into a reality has been a big one. Establishing the shop in a newly built facility and investing in advanced diagnostic tools plus a John Bean alignment machine have been major steps. He also notes that Incorporating Dieppe Auto Repairs Inc. in January 2026 marked another significant milestone, giving the business its own corporate identity. At the beginning of this article, we mentioned that Mostafa did not enter the industry through the traditional route that many have.

Seeing an opportunity
“I did not come from an automotive family,” he says. “My father was a pilot and my mother was a radiologist, so this was a new direction for me. My motivation came from a passion for cars, helping people and seeing an opportunity to meet a need in the community. After becoming involved with O.R.E. Auto in 2022, I felt there was room for a more modern automotive repair shop in a beautiful, growing city like Dieppe,” says Shafa. “I wanted to create a welcoming place where customers could receive attentive service in an up-to-date environment. That vision led me to establish Dieppe Auto Repairs in May 2023.
In terms of the facility itself, Mostafa says that the current facility at 724 Champlain Street in Dieppe covers 5,500 square feet and has four service bays. “We have operated from this location since June 2024 and currently employ eight people: seven mechanics and one front-desk receptionist. Three of our mechanics are licensed Red Sealautomotiveservice technicians. Our team supports both the technical work in the shop and the personal service for customers provided at the front desk.”
Regarding his approach to training and development when it comes to mechanical repair and servicing, Mostafa proudly says, “we see training as an ongoing investment in our people and the quality of our work. We send our technicians to safety courses and receive training on new equipment as we acquire it, helping the team use it safely and effectively.
He notes that “our Red Seal mechanics bring more than 50 years of combined experience, and sharing that knowledge is an important part of how our team learns and develops. We also support our technicians in attending automotive courses at NBCC to strengthen their skills and continue their professional development.”
“We want every visit to feel straightforward and welcoming, with clear explanations, helpful communication and personal attention.”

Earning trust
In what he feels has been a key part of business success, Shafa says he believes that “success comes from earning customers’ trust through honest advice, quality workmanship and fair pricing.” We want people to understand what their vehicle needs are and that they feel comfortable asking questions before making a decision.”
He notes that “building relationships matters just as much as completing a repair. Vehicle problems can be stressful, especially when someone depends on their car for work or family responsibilities. Our approach is to listen, explain clearly and help people when they need it most. That personal care is central to the business we have and want to continue building.”
Looking ahead, Shafa says he wants to see Dieppe Auto Repairs develop its capabilities in servicing hybrid and electric vehicles. “That means continuing to invest in technician training and evaluating the equipment needed to support these vehicles safely and effectively.” Mostafa says that the business has ready put fast chargers in place for its electric vehicle customers adding convenience when they visit the shop.
He notes that improving the customer experience is equally important. “We want every visit to feel straightforward and welcoming, with clear explanations, helpful communication and personal attention. As the business develops, my goal is to keep that human connection at the centre of our service.”
Looking to the future, Shafa says he’d like to expand the parking area on the east side of the property to provide 20 additional customer parking spaces. “This proposed expansion before the city of Dieppe, would help us accommodate the high demand for our services and make visits more convenient,” he says.
In summarizing, Mostafa is understandably proud of what the business has become in the last few years. “I really have to thank our customers for their trust and our team for their dedication. We are proud to be building a business that serves the Dieppe community.”
