RNR Opens First Canadian Location

On September 12, history was made when RNR Tire Express celebrated the grand opening of its first international franchise location. The brand new store, located at 1080 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa, Ontario, is owned by Rakesh Jegganolla and Sravan Sharma. The facility, which features state-of-the art Hunter Engineering alignment, mounting and balancing equipment courtesy of renowned Ontario-based Hunter distributor Riel Equipment Ltd., will focus on tire wheel alignments, balancing, tire sales and custom wheel/tire installations.  

Owners Jegganolla and Sharma come to the tire retail industry with backgrounds in the information technology and franchise business sectors. Jegganolla worked as a software engineering before entering into the world of entrepreneurship via child care services. Sharma worked in the IT consulting field, including stints at the famed big four industry firms (Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC).

In a statement, Jegganolla stated in reference to the partnership with Sharma “we always wanted to own a business together and the [tire and wheel] business is an essential service, one with consistent demand.” He also said that the duo’s rent-to-own model will enabled them to make a significant positive impact on the community by providing their customers, safe, reliable transportation. 

The Grand Opening event, which took place amid near perfect weather conditions, featured on-site custom car displays, complimentary food courtesy of Fire Queen and a ribbon cutting ceremony that was attended by Jegganolla and Sharma, their team and their family members, as well as representatives from partners including Riel Equipment Ltd,  Oshawa Fire, local council members and the mayor of Oshawa, Dan Carter.
