D’Ambrosio Collision Group (Fix Auto St. Catharines, Welland, and Niagara-on-the-Lake) celebrated their 50th anniversary on September 12, with a special event at Fix Auto St. Catharines on Merritt Street. The day brought out family, friends, key stakeholders and local businesses, with provided complimentary on-site food, including some amazing pizza, barbecue, and ice cream treats.
Jonny D’Ambrosio, and his father John, who own and operate D’Ambrosio Collision Group, took time to chat with guests as well as make some special announcements. The Mayor of the City of St. Catharines, Mat Siscoe, also attended and presented the D’Ambrosio’s with a special award, in recognition of their service and commitment to the local community.
Autosphere did a cover story on the D’Ambrosio’s back in December 2024 (https://autosphere.ca/collision/2024/12/03/elevating-excellence-fix-auto-st-catharines-welland-and-niagara-on-the-lake/) and what’s remarkable is that the 50th anniversary celebration took place at the exact same location, 276 Meritt Street where Johhny’s grandfather, Lino, first established the business back in 1976.
Since then, this family business has grown by leaps and bounds and the 50th anniversary symbolized not only how far things have come since the day Lino opened his original shop, but how the business has continued to set benchmark standards in terms of operations and customer service.
D’Ambrosio Collision Group has shown a consistent commitment to excellence, both within the community and Fix Network. The D’Ambrosio’s are also two time recipients of the prestigious Fix Network President’s Award, which is bestowed upon collision centres that achieve the highest standards of operational excellence within the network.
Within the shop, which has been significantly expanded over the years, the team also displayed a whole host of classic and special interest vehicles, many of which had been restored and repaired at Fix Auto St. Catharines.
Alongside the festivities and special displays, Johnny and John D’Ambrosio also announced that the team had raised an impressive $10,000 in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Autosphere was privileged to attend this celebration and congratulates D’Ambrosio Collision Group for an incredible 50 years of operations and wishes them all the success for next 50!
