Collision repair facilities CARSTAR Red Deer and CARSTAR Red Deer South, owned by Darryl and Brian Hemstreet, have completed a four-week school supply drive supporting students across the Red Deer Public School District. The campaign collected essential learning materials across both facilities and included a $500 direct financial contribution from the repair centers, with supplies reaching students across all 22 schools in the district.
For collision repair franchisees and network operators, the campaign highlights effective local marketing and community outreach strategies that build regional brand equity outside traditional service channels.
“At CARSTAR, we believe strong communities are built when people come together to support one another,” said Darryl Hemstreet, owner of CARSTAR Red Deer and CARSTAR Red Deer South. “Knowing these supplies will be distributed throughout the school district makes this initiative especially meaningful.”
To broaden campaign participation, the facilities partnered with the Red Deer Rebels hockey organization to gather additional donations from fans during the team’s annual Intrasquad Game. Supplies were routed through district Family Liaison Counsellors to target students with the greatest operational need.
“Darryl and his team exemplify what it means to be a community-minded business,” added Andrew Northrup, Zone Director for CARSTAR Canada. “This initiative united local businesses, sports organizations, customers and residents around a common purpose.”
