UVeye’s drive-through system scans vehicles as they enter the dealership service lane, automatically detecting tire tread depth, sidewall damage, underbody fluid leaks, frame rust, dents, and paint scratches within seconds.

Vehicle inspection technology provider UVeye has officially launched its operations in Canada. The company’s drive-through computer vision inspection platforms are now live at retail dealerships across British Columbia and Ontario, with additional Canadian installations scheduled throughout 2026.

UVeye’s drive-through system scans vehicles as they enter the dealership service lane, automatically detecting tire tread depth, sidewall damage, underbody fluid leaks, frame rust, dents, and paint scratches within seconds. Service advisors receive an automated condition report to review with customers at check-in. The platform also generates high-resolution vehicle photo-booth imagery for dealership trade-in appraisals and pre-owned inventory listings.

The technology targets common operational bottlenecks in Canadian fixed operations, where harsh winter conditions and road salt cause undercarriage wear that can be easily missed during manual walkarounds. Among the initial Canadian implementations are Trotman Auto Group locations in British Columbia, including Comox Valley Toyota and Cranbrook Toyota.

“Canada is a natural next step for us, said Omer Bar Joseph, Chief Revenue Officer at UVeye. Canadian roads are hard on vehicles, and much of that damage hides underneath, exactly where our systems look first. Dealers in British Columbia are already catching issues a manual walkaround would easily miss.”

“We invested in UVeye because it delivers more consistent inspections while helping us identify items that might otherwise be overlooked, creating additional revenue opportunities and reducing unnecessary costs,” said Virgil Davies, Fixed Operations Manager at Comox Valley Toyota.

“UVeye has helped us create a more consistent and transparent experience for every customer coming through our service lane, added Brady Smith, General Manager at Cranbrook Toyota. It allows our advisors to review vehicle condition, tire concerns, and other visible issues with customers right at check-in, supporting better communication and trust.”

For Canadian dealership general managers and fixed operations directors, the expansion highlights how automated inspection hardware is becoming a standard tool to drive shop productivity, increase repair order (RO) line items, and improve customer trust in the service lane.
