Annual event brings partners together to drive meaningful impact in the fight against food insecurity
On July 13, Enterprise Mobility brought together partners from across Canada for its 28th annual charity golf tournament at King Valley Golf Club, continuing a long-standing tradition of giving back in support of Food Banks Canada.
This year’s tournament raised $160,000 through donations and sponsorships, including a $70,000 match from Enterprise Mobility, with proceeds supporting Food Banks Canada’s After the Bell program, which helps provide food to children and families during the summer months when school-based supports are unavailable.
The annual event reflects Enterprise Mobility’s ongoing commitment to strengthening communities and addressing food insecurity through partnership, investment and local impact.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the flagship car rental brand of Enterprise Mobility, works closely with insurance companies, collision repair shops and dealerships to support customers when they need a replacement vehicle.
Attendees included partners from across the Canadian insurance and replacement industry, with the day concluding with a reception and remarks from Enterprise Mobility leadership.
The event also featured NHL player appearances, where they connected with attendees through photos and autographs, bringing added energy to the day while reflecting Enterprise’s support of hockey, its partnership with the NHLPA and a shared commitment to giving back.
Since its launch in 2016, Enterprise Mobility’s Fill Your Tank® program has built strong partnerships with food banks and hunger-relief organizations across North America and Europe. To date, the program has contributed more than $125 million USD to over 800 nonprofits, including Food Banks Canada.
By 2030, Enterprise Mobility aims to donate $30 million CAD to Food Banks Canada as part of a broader commitment to grant more than $210 million globally to organizations addressing food insecurity.
“Events like this are a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together with our partners around a shared purpose,” said Jennifer Everett, Vice President of Sales, Replacement & Leisure Division Canada at Enterprise Mobility. “The continued support and momentum behind this tournament allow us to expand our impact and help ensure more families across Canada have access to the food they need, especially during critical times of the year.”
Food Banks Canada’s After the Bell program provides nutritious, child-friendly food packs throughout the summer when school-based supports are not available. These packs include shelf-stable items such as milk, hummus, crackers, cereal and oatmeal, along with funding for fresh items like fruits, vegetables, dairy and protein.
