The infrastructure project encompasses a 75,000-square-foot warehouse expansion alongside the deployment of a modernized warehouse management system (WMS) and physical equipment upgrades.
Targeting enhanced parts availability and expedited transit cycles across its North American distribution channels, aftermarket component specialist WAI Global has officially initiated a major facility expansion at its central logistics hub in Memphis.
The infrastructure project encompasses a 75,000-square-foot warehouse expansion alongside the deployment of a modernized warehouse management system (WMS) and physical equipment upgrades.
For Canadian jobbers, regional parts distributors, and commercial fleet maintenance operations relying on WAI’s rotating electrical and engine management portfolios, the expanded footprint functions to buffer inventory depths and mitigate supply chain latency. The implementation of the new cloud-enabled WMS provides real-time visibility across receiving and shipping lanes, systematically optimizing the order-picking and replenishment workflows crucial for cross-border logistics.
“This investment ensures we’re ready for what’s next,” stated Seth Moul, CEO of North America at WAI Global, noting that the increased capacity positions the manufacturer to scale alongside customer demand while reinforcing shipment speed and accuracy.
Distribution Director Rick Evans emphasized that the technology and spatial updates streamline daily material handling operations, establishing a scalable operational foundation for future automated distribution phases.
