Within the province, nearly all end-of-life tires and inner tubes continue to be collected and recycled annually, representing 18.61 kg for every resident in Manitoba.
Other key highlights found in the report, including the awarding of three scholarships (worth $3,000 each), to students enrolled at the University of Manitoba in environmental sciences programs, plus a total of $199,564 awarded for 7 Community Enhancement Grants, 6 Rubber Aggregate Road Projects and one Applied Research Grant that used recycled tire products.
